Proposed Workspace above the Providence Train Station

RISD Spring 2021, Advanced Studio, Professor Nancy Nichols

Three precedent architectural projects were chosen to study ceiling architecture.

The studio required the workspace to be designed above the Providence Train Station so commuters have easy access to their workplace.

The workspace is designed for a post-covid work era. Flexible space and hot desks reflect the need for flexibility in light of constantly changing pandemic conditions. The employees of the companies have days of the week when they work from home and other days where they are required to be in the office. This allows several companies to use the same workspace throughout the week.
